Just five minutes from Memorial City Mall in West Houston, this Turkish restaurant’s unassuming strip mall location belies an interior of classic white linens, gold chandeliers, and vibrant flower bouquets. A row of large windows also illuminates the space as diners peruse the menu of authentic fare. Although the menu offers detailed descriptions of each dish, the mostly Turkish staff is happy to answer questions for those unfamiliar with the cuisine, recommending favorites like the lahana sarma (cabbage rolls stuffed with ground lamb and herbs) and the ground lamb gyro. Budget-conscious patrons also appreciate the affordable lunchtime specials.
