At sunset, there is a Great Gatsby-like atmosphere at the happy hour at El Galeón restaurant, as yacht owners and guests arrive from the nearby Los Suenos resort and marina in Herradura Bay. In the kitchen, Canadian chef Darrell Thomas prepares Costa Rican-influenced, international fine dining dishes like scallop sliders, smoked duck breast salad, and seafood calaloo—the Caribbean version of gumbo. The dining room is open-air, but the outdoor tables have a view of the bay and marina.
