Einar Ben

1 Veltusundi
Reykjavik , Iceland

This period throwback to the Victorian era is named after a bonified Icelandic icon; Einar Ben was a poet and an entrepreneur who lived for a time in the century-old townhouse now housing the restaurant. Making its home in the city center, Einar Ben serves an Icelandic take on fish, wild game, and lamb and is among the city's oldest restaurants. The decor is decidedly less trendy than that found in many of the city's other fine dining establishments. Velvet curtains and brass chandeliers evoke a pleasant turn-of-the-century feel.
