Rancher Emre Mermer established the Dükkan butcher shop in 1998 to supply many of Istanbul’s elite restaurants. It wasn’t long until he decided to open his own eatery in 2004 alongside the shop and had instant success attracting gourmands and high rollers to dine on homemade sausages and dry-aged steaks. Customers can choose their steaks from the glass case just inside the front door and enjoy them in the upscale bistro atmosphere of high wood tables, banquettes, and sliding floor-to-ceiling windows.
