Don Mee Seafood Restaurant
Marked by a massive, three-dimensional sign out front, Don Mee Seafood Restaurant has been in Victoria's Chinatown for more than 80 years. The restaurant has a full menu of Cantonese, Szechuan, and Western-style dishes, such as shrimp sautéed with vegetables, customizable chow mein, and sizzling beef in black pepper sauce. But it's the authentic dim sum that has the most devoted following. At lunch, waitresses make the rounds in the dining room with carts filled with the Cantonese-style snacks. Options include such dishes as steamed chicken buns, spring rolls, barbecue pork buns, and crab claws.
