The debate over who serves the best po’ boy in New Orleans still rages, but one candidate lies just off the Jefferson Highway in the west end of the city. Crabby Jack’s location right next to the seafood exchange means ultra fresh ingredients, a fact especially evident in the fried green tomato with shrimp remoulade po’ boy. The cochon de lait (roast suckling pig) is another popular dish, as is their signature duck. Whatever your preference, the lively crowd keeps the atmosphere abuzz, as do the bright carnival colors, funky artwork, and extroverted employees.
