Congee Village, on the outskirts of Chinatown, offers an extensive menu of more than 250 classic Cantonese dishes. As the name suggests, the restaurant is best known for its congee, or rice porridge; options include the chicken and black mushroom. The restaurant also makes a house special chicken with crispy skin that's popular. Renovated in 2007, the large dining room has polished wood ceilings, marble floors, and exposed brick walls. An American-style bar is at the mid-level, and four private rooms, complete with karaoke machines, fill the lower level.
