Cobras and Matadors
Inventive tapas served in a loud, crowded dining room evoke the spirit of an authentic Spanish café at this West Hollywood eatery. Although exposed light bulbs and ceiling ducts create an industrial vibe, the restaurant’s interior is also warmed by old-fashioned light fixtures, a wood-fired oven, and colorful walls lined with vintage photographs as well as hundreds of wine bottle corks (thanks to the café’s popular BYOB policy). Diners suggest bringing a Spanish wine to pair with signature dishes like the marinated skirt steak and the bacon-wrapped dates with blue cheese, almonds, and port wine.
