Citrus Etoile is owned and operated by the celebrated Chef Gilles Epie who, in addition to being acclaimed from Japan to Los Angeles, was the youngest chef to ever win a Michelin star at age 22. He and his American wife have outfitted this locale, which is just two blocks from the Balzac and around the corner from the Arc, beautifully. The dining space is light and airy, with shades of bright orange and crisp white dominating the palette and complemented by goldfish bowls on every table. Foi gras beignet (tempura foi gras with caramelized port sauce) is far and away Chez Gilles's most iconic dish. Sample that and other Citrus Etoile offerings with the prix-fixe tasting menu, which is reasonably priced at 39 euros.
