Housed inside D.C.’s Colorado Building, an historic Beaux Arts office building just a block from the White House, Ceiba’s menu celebrates chef Jeff Tunks’ travels through the Yucatan, Brazil, Peru, and Cuba. Dishes include Cuban black bean soup, sweet summer corn tamales, and rum-glazed plátanos maduros (sweet fried plantains). The bar serves specialty cocktails, such as the traditional Peruvian Pisco Sour. The bright and simple dining room has large windows, white and brown upholstered chairs, leaf-print carpeting, and Latin American folk art on the walls.
