Cavas Wine Lodge
Cavas Wine Lodge's contemporary casitas are a striking contrast to their surroundings: the property is set in the midst of a working vineyard accessible only by a dirt road. Walls are rounded like mushrooms, and provocative art fills the public spaces. Dine alfresco at the hotel's restaurant, whose menu—which has included 24-hours-cooked lamb and goat-cheese-and-grilled-vegetable ravioli—changes every three months. Pair your meal with one of 250 Argentinean wines from the expansive cellar.
From the From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
Located in the posh Neveh Tzedek neighborhood, Catit features an international menu from chef Meir Adoni, including dishes like honey-infused chestnut soup topped with grilled foie gras and lobster. The wine list draws from top-tier vineyards in Israel, France and Australia and includes dessert wines from Galilee and the Golan Heights.
We loved: Mozzarella-filled veal meatballs with polenta; grilled lamb ribs.
