Located on a square, this spacious place draws a largely local crowd with its modest pricing and easy-going, cafe environment. The interior is high-polished dark wood throughout, with a long bar and intimate tables. Sandwiches are the focus at lunch, and a small number of meat, fish, and pasta dishes are offered at dinner, like fried fillet of guinea fowl or fresh pasta with prawns. From noon to midnight, there is a snack menu with items like croquette balls and farm cheese—nice complements to an afternoon lager or cup of strong Dutch coffee. There is live music at times and, when weather permits, sidewalk seating.
