Café des Deux Moulins

15 Rue Lepic
Paris , France
33-1-42-54-90-50

Situated in Montmarte, this old-fashioned café is best known as the restaurant where Amélie Poulain waits tables in the 2001 film Amélie. While a steady stream of movie fans continues to arrive each day, the café remains a modest neighborhood eatery with a largely local clientele. Its place in film history is acknowledged but not overdone, with a single movie poster and the film’s famous gnome standing on the bar. The menu includes simple dishes like the classic croque monsieur (grilled ham and cheese sandwich) and the popular crème brûlée, which Amélie habitually cracks with a spoon in the movie.
