The scene centers on live entertainment at Café Carlyle, where cabaret legend Bobby Short graced the stage for three decades before passing away in 2005. The intimate supper club seats 70 guests and has music-themed murals by French artist Marcel Vertès and blue-hued banquettes lining its perimeters. Executive chef Jacques Sorci serve entrees like Carlyle lobster bisque with Cognac, three kinds of caviar by the ounce, and Bobby Short’s namesake dish — chicken hash with truffles, foie gras, and a sherry cream sauce. All reservations are for dinner and a show.
