Located just a four-minute walk from the White House in the Sofitel Lafayette Square hotel, Ici Urban Bistro serves modern takes on classic French cuisine. Illuminated by candlelight, the dining room is adorned with dark wood tables, bright red carpet, contemporary paintings, and a large central wine rack. Executive chef Franck Loquet, who previously worked as an instructor at l’Ecole de Cuisine Alain Ducasse in Paris, uses local, seasonal ingredients to create such dishes as grilled scallops with a lemon and fennel pollen gremolata (chopped herb condiment). The global wine list has more than 30 selections available by the glass.
