The Burger: Burger Joint is a retro, ‘50s-style indie chain with five locations in the Bay Area. In keeping with the righteous NoCal foodie movement, the old-fashioned burger here is grilled to order with hormone- and pesticide-free natural beef from Niman Ranch and is served on a toasted sesame bun with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickle slices.
Best Sides: Fresh thick-cut fries and a chocolate milkshake made with San Francisco’s own Double Rainbow ice cream.
