The Boathouse Bistro
Differentiating itself from the area's many cafeteria-style seafood shacks, this tapas bar and restaurant specializes in small plates designed for shared noshing over a pitcher of sangria. There is indoor seating, but the umbrella-covered tables on the roofdeck are top real estate, offering unobstructed views of the harbor below. The menu, conceived of by chef/co-owner Karin Guerin, reflects both traditional New England and global influences, with items like lobster and corn crème brulee, duck confit bruschetta, and goat cheese prawns appearing side-by-side.
