Binkley’s
Chef Kevin Binkley's eponymous restaurant looks unassuming in its strip mall location, north of Phoenix and Scottsdale. But the chef’s critically acclaimed American cuisine has a molecular gastronomy bent, producing quirky dishes like a coin-sized sloppy Joe or peanut butter soufflé with huckleberry jam. The menu changes daily, although diners need to reserve a table a few weeks in advance. Amuse-bouches arrive between the main plates in the four-, five-, and six-course tasting menus. A variety of local, American, and European cheeses is available, and served alongside homemade fruitcake and spiced pecans.
