Owned by renowned chef Cyril Renaud, famous for his work at the now closed Fleur de Sel, Bar Breton is a casual French eatery in the Flatiron district. Inside, the dim restaurant is adorned with chalkboard menus and an unusual chandelier hung with colorful barware. The largely gluten-free menu features traditional French entrées, such as the white wine marinated duck breast, as well as a variety of galettes, buckwheat crepes from Renaud’s native Brittany. Brunch is especially popular here and offers a special selection of galettes, such as the Chelsea, made with chorizo, eggs over easy, and onion confit.
