Atlantic Seafood Company
Located in Alpharetta, the Atlantic Seafood Company is easily recognizable by the pattern of cresting waves carved into the top of the building. The sea theme continues inside, where the dining room is dominated by shades of blue and green, and a mural depicting the work of fishermen decorates the back wall. Fish is flown in daily, and the menu includes such entrees as soy-honey glazed Chilean sea bass with a sticky rice cake and baby bok choy and green chile grouper with chipotle mashed potatoes. A sushi bar is located at the front of the restaurant.
From the From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
Alexandros Kardasis, a protégé of Athens star chef and molecular gastronomist Christoforos Peskias (of 48), has been attracting an ever-larger following. He recently moved Athiri from a boondocks working-class neighborhood to trendy Plateon Street. In the kitchen of the century-old cottage that houses the restaurant, Kardasis is creating textural and flavor surprises—for instance, spritzing a froth made from shrimp over juicy marinated anchovies.
