Artie's Delicatessen, on the Upper West Side, is a New York-style deli that serves the flavors of 1930s homestyle Jewish cooking within a modern restaurant painted brightly and playing hip music. Menu highlights include the pastrami sandwich stacked with seasoned beef, and the flanken in a pot, tender beef served on the bone in a mushroom-barley soup. And as guests who dine-in will know from the neon sign in the window, Artie's proudly makes its own hot dogs. The menu includes other specialty sandwiches, homemade soups, burgers and cold salad platters.
