Antica Bottega del Vino
Modeled after the Bottega del Vino in Verona, Italy, this restaurant on the southeast corner of Central Park serves north Italian dishes like rosemary-encrusted salmon, braised baby octopus, and tortellini stuffed with beef and prosciutto in a black truffle sauce. To drink, there are 10,000 bottles in the wine cellar and cappuccino made by Sammy Lin, the best barista in the city according to Martha Stewart. The restaurant also imported all its furnishings from Italy including the decorated, century-old wooden pillars, antique chandeliers, and crystal, hand-blown glasses.
