Around the corner from the Duomo in the new Grand Hotel Cavour, Angels has atmospheric lighting and seats that are white and cushy. There are some non-Italian items—like a Spanish catalana of lobster and shrimp—but the highlights are the dexterously prepared Florentine dishes.

We loved: Grilled steak; risotto with artichokes and Taleggio cheese.
