“To the table” is the meaning of this Darlinghurst restaurant’s moniker as well as the motto: a long, communal table of Indian marble invites diners to talk and eat. To owner-chef Eugenio Maiale, “a tavola” was the dinner bell of his younger days, and now he brings his handmade pasta to Sydney visitors and locals. The menu changes seasonally, but pasta is always at center stage, with dishes like spaghetti alle cozze (spicy spaghetti with mussels) and treviso (a type of radicchio) served with Parmesan and lemon.
