A. R. Valentien
A.R. Valentien is the signature restaurant at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Inspired by namesake Albert R. Valentien's watercolors, this Craftsman-style space features his watercolors amid wood accents, stained glass chandeliers, and plentiful plantlife. A terrace overlooks the cabana-lined pool and golf course greens. Executive chef Jeff Jackson relies on the seasonal bounty to produce three meals daily. In cooler months, look for dishes like lentil soup with house-cured ham and cavolo nero (black kale), and fire-roasted pork loin with griddled Anson Mills polenta and pork confit.
