1300 on Fillmore
1300 on Fillmore pays homage to southern fare and an integral part of the city's past. Located in the Fillmore Jazz Preservation District, a revitalized area of town that once hosted such great musicians as Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, 1300 on Fillmore honors the city’s past with black and white photos of famous performers that visited the area and live music in the lounge. Chef David Lawrence draws on his French training to create unique, southern-inspired cuisine he calls soulful American. Offerings include black skillet fried chicken and maple syrup braised boneless beef short ribs.

There are just 15 tables in the wood-paneled dining room of chef Kevin Hanney's modern American bistro. His robust dinner menu includes cinnamon-braised short ribs; Samantha Choy's equally delicious dessert menu includes bread pudding with Kona coffee sauce.
