White Sanguine

A dry, unoaked white such as Sauvignon Blanc works best in this aperitif from Keith McNally’s timeless SoHo brasserie.

Ingredients

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces white wine
  3. 1/2 ounce Chambord
  4. 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  6. 2 to 3 ounces chilled Champagne
  7. 1 orange twist

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the white wine, Chambord, orange juice and lime juice and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled white wine glass, top with the Champagne and garnish with the orange twist.
