Mixologist Dave Wondrich wanted to make Manhattans for some friends but all he had in his liquor cabinet that even came close to the necessary ingredients (vermouth and rye) was Irish whiskey and Lillet Blanc—and so the Weeski was born.

Plus: Ultimate Cocktail Guide

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces Irish whiskey
  3. 1 ounce Lillet Blanc
  4. 3/4 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
  5. 2 dashes of Orange Bitters
  6. 1 orange twist
  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the orange twist and stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the orange twist.
