Vix makes this high-octane spin on a daiquiri with 10 Cane, a brand of rhum agricole (rum distilled from fresh sugarcane juice). The result is a drink that's more pungent and less sweet than one made with molasses-based rum.

1/2 lime, cut into pieces, plus 1 lime wedge for garnish
1/4 ounce Simple Syrup
2 ounces rhum agricole
1/4 ounce apricot brandy
1/4 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
How to Make It
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lime pieces with the Simple Syrup. Add ice and all of the remaining ingredients except the lime wedge and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the lime wedge.
