Uri is Kathy Casey’s Norwegian play on the Manhattan, which she mixes with Linie, an aged aquavit. Matured in oak casks in ships that travel from Norway to Australia and then back again, Linie is thought to develop a richer flavor from sloshing around in the barrels.

  1. 2 ounces aged aquavit
  2. 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  3. Dash of orange bitters
  4. Ice
  5. 3 brandied cherries skewered on a pick, for garnish
  1. In a mixing glass, combine the aquavit, vermouth and bitters. Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice and stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the brandied cherries.
