When Pip Hanson makes this drink at Marvel Bar in Minneapolis, he uses nitrous oxide to infuse tequila with cilantro. He created a version for home mixologists with muddled cucumber and tequila, adding cilantro to the shaker.
- 6 seedless cucumber slices (about 1/4 inch thick)
- 1 ounce silver tequila
- 1 ounce dry vermouth
- 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
- 10 small cilantro sprigs
- Ice
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices with the tequila. Add the vermouth, lemon juice, Simple Syrup and cilantro and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe.
