When Pip Hanson makes this drink at Marvel Bar in Minneapolis, he uses nitrous oxide to infuse tequila with cilantro. He created a version for home mixologists with muddled cucumber and tequila, adding cilantro to the shaker.

  1. 6 seedless cucumber slices (about 1/4 inch thick)
  2. 1 ounce silver tequila
  3. 1 ounce dry vermouth
  4. 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
  5. 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  6. 10 small cilantro sprigs
  7. Ice
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices with the tequila. Add the vermouth, lemon juice, Simple Syrup and cilantro and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe.
