Tomato Sauce with Cumin

- 1/4 cup pure olive oil
- 2 pounds large tomatoespeeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt
- Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan until shimmering. Add the tomatoes, cumin and cayenne and cook over moderate heat until thick, mashing the tomatoes against the side of the pan with a wooden spoon, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and serve warm.
Serve With
