Toasted-Almond Syrup

  • SERVINGS: Makes 6 ounces
  • MAKE-AHEAD

Use this syrup for making the miso-based drink Mi-So-Pretty.

  1. 1/4 cup raw almonds, coarsely chopped
  2. 6 ounces hot Simple Syrup
  1. Toast the almonds in a 350° oven until golden, about 7 minutes. Pour into a heatproof bowl and add the hot Simple Syrup. Let cool completely, then strain into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
