Thieves' Punch

While playing with a deck of historical cocktail cards, Duggan McDonnell was struck by a card labeled "Thieves' Punch" and decided to create a drink worthy of the name by combining rum and port.

  1. 16 ounces white rum
  2. 5 ounces tawny port
  3. 10 ounces fresh lime juice
  4. 5 ounces Simple Syrup
  5. Ice
  6. 20 dashes of Angostura bitters
  1. In a pitcher, combine all of the ingredients except ice and stir well. Add ice, stir again and strain into coupes or teacups.
