While playing with a deck of historical cocktail cards, Duggan McDonnell was struck by a card labeled "Thieves' Punch" and decided to create a drink worthy of the name by combining rum and port.

Recipe: Thieves' Punch

Ingredients

16 ounces white rum
5 ounces tawny port
10 ounces fresh lime juice
5 ounces Simple Syrup
Ice
20 dashes of Angostura bitters

In a pitcher, combine all of the ingredients except ice and stir well. Add ice, stir again and strain into coupes or teacups.
