This is Francesco Lafranconi's elevated version of a Bloody Mary. For him, the briny mixture of cucumber, herbs and Clamato juice evokes the smell of salt water and seaweed at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.
Dash each of Worcestershire sauce and jalapeño hot sauce, more to taste
1 cucumber wheel and 1 dill sprig, for garnish
Rinse a chilled martini glass with the absinthe. Fill a pint glass with ice, then add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnishes and stir well. Strain the drink into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the cucumber wheel and dill sprig.
