When the Red Cat opened in 1999, owner Jimmy Bradley searched in vain for hard-to-find sodas such as Fresca (his childhood favorite). He was thrilled when his bartender created this cocktail, which approximates Fresca's citrusy flavor.

Recipe: The Fresca

Ingredients

Ice
3 ounces orange vodka
1 ounce Cointreau or other Triple Sec
3/4 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce chilled 7-UP
1 orange twist

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the 7-UP and twist. Shake well, stir in the 7-UP and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the twist.
