How to Poach Eggs in a Strainer


  • 5 to 6 mint leaves, plus 1 mint sprig
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  • Ice cubes and Crushed ice
  • 3 ounces manzanilla sherry
  • 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • 1 ounce chilled aranciata (Italian orange soda) or Orangina
  • 1 cucumber wheel

How to make this recipe

  1. In a pint glass, muddle the mint leaves with the Simple Syrup. Add ice cubes and the sherry, bitters and <em>aranciata</em>. Stir well and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with the mint sprig and cucumber wheel.
