The Bobby Boucher

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 Drink

This drink is based on the 1930s Bobby Burns. Changing the Scotch in the original to bourbon made the drink Southern; trading some of the vermouth for cherry Heering made it a little sweet, says mixologist John Coltharp.

cocktails Glassware Guide

  1. 1 orange twist, for garnish
  2. 1/4 ounce cherry Heering (cherry liqueur)
  3. 2 ounces overproof bourbon
  4. 1/4 ounce Bénédictine (brandy-based herbal liqueur)
  5. Ice
  6. 1/2 ounce Carpano Antica Formula or other sweet vermouth
  1. Fill a chilled pint glass with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and stir well. Strain into an ice-filled coupe, pinch the orange twist over the drink and drop it in.
