Scott Lawrence, beverage director at the Italian-inspired Jovia restaurant in New York City, loves using Italian ingredients in his cocktails. He pairs Italian Sauvignon Blanc and amaro (a digestivo) for this pleasantly bitter concoction.
- Club soda
- 2 ounces Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 orange wheel
- 1/2 ounce Amaro Nonino
- Ice
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- Fill one-third of a large wineglass with ice. Add the bitters, amaro and wine and top with a splash of club soda. Float the orange wheel on top.
