- 5 blackberries
- 1 lemon wedge
- 2 ounces amontillado sherry
- 1 ounce Black Tea Gin (see Note)
- 3/4 ounce Simple Syrup
- Crushed ice
- 1 thyme sprig and 1 lavender sprig, for garnish
How to make this recipe
In a pint glass, muddle 4 blackberries with the lemon wedge. Add the sherry, Black Tea Gin, Simple Syrup and crushed ice and stir well. Pour into a chilled wineglass and garnish the drink with the remaining blackberry and the thyme and lavender sprigs.
Black Tea Gin In a jar, cover 1 teaspoon black tea leaves or 1 tea bag with 4 ounces gin. Let steep for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Pour the infused gin through a fine strainer into a clean jar and store at room temperature for up to 1 month. Makes 4 ounces.
