Tamarind and Tonic

The unusual combination of tamarind syrup and tonic makes this drink both dry and exceptionally refreshing, with a slight bitterness.
- 2 cups tamarind syrup (see Note)
- 4 quarts chilled tonic
- 2 lemons, thinly sliced
- Combine all of the ingredients in a large punch bowl or 2 large pitchers and serve in tall glasses over ice.
