Tahini Sauce

  • SERVINGS: MAKES ABOUT 1 1/4 CUPS
  • BASIC-EASY
  • MAKE-AHEAD
  • VEGETARIAN

Tahini sauce always accompanies Falafel; it's also traditional for dressing simple plates of fried, broiled or roasted fish. The sauce lends a platter of steamed or roasted vegetables a spark of flavor and richness they might lack on their own.

  1. 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  2. 1 cup tahini
  3. Fresh lemon juice
  4. Salt
  1. In a bowl, stir the garlic into the tahini. Add water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the sauce has the consistency of thick cream. Add lemon juice until the sauce is pleasantly tangy and season with salt.
Make Ahead The sauce can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
