Sweet Basil

An abundance of basil growing behind Restaurant Eve inspired this drink. Mixologist Todd Thrasher created six basil cocktails, rotating them on the menu at PX. This one had the most fanatical following.

  1. 10 basil leaves, plus 1 basil leaf for garnish
  2. Ice
  3. 3 ounces Lillet blanc
  4. 1/2 ounce gin
  5. 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  1. In a cocktail shaker, lightly muddle the 10 basil leaves. Add ice and the Lillet, gin and Simple Syrup and shake well. Double strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the remaining basil leaf.
