Soy Dipping Sauce

  • SERVINGS: MAKES ABOUT 2/3 CUP

  • MAKE-AHEAD
  1. 6 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  2. 2 tablespoons warm water
  3. 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
  4. 1 teaspoon sugar
  5. 1/4 cup thinly sliced scallion greens
  6. 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  7. 2 red or green serrano chiles, thinly sliced into rings
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and let stand for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to develop
