According to legend, this cocktail was invented at the '21' Club in New York City. Since then, it has been almost completely forgotten, but it's an easy summer cocktail that can impress even the most jaded drinker.

  1. 1/4 cup gin
  2. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons superfine sugar
  4. 2 fresh mint sprigs
  1. Fill a shaker with ice. Add the gin, lemon juice, sugar and a fresh mint sprig. Shake vigorously for 1 minute. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a mint sprig.
