- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
- In a 1-quart pitcher, stir together the flour, water and yeast. Cover the pitcher almost completely with plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature overnight. For a stronger sour flavor, let it stand in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
