Sophisticated Lady

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink

Eastern Standard • Boston

Bar manager Jackson Cannon wanted to serve a mocktail that was neither soda-driven nor a supersweet "juice bomb." The result: this savory take on a cosmopolitan.

  1. 1 unpeeled cucumber wheel, plus 1 peeled cucumber spear
  2. 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  3. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  4. Ice
  5. 2 ounces cranberry juice
  6. 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber wheel, Simple Syrup and salt. Add ice and the juices and shake well. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the spear.
