Smashed Cherry Lemonade

Bar manager Lateefah Curtis serves this drink with fresh bing cherries in summer to complement chefs Marc Meyer and Joel Hough's Greenmarket-driven New American menu.
Ingredients
- 5 bing or brandied cherries
- 4 lemon wedges
- 1 ounce Simple Syrup
- Ice
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 ounce chilled club soda
Directions
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle 4 cherries, 3 lemon wedges and the Simple Syrup. Add ice and the vodka and lemon juice. Shake well; strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Stir in the soda. Garnish with the last cherry and lemon wedge.
