Sloe Food

A proud member of the "eco-gastronomic" Slow Food organization, Jeff Grdinich designed this cocktail for after-dinner lingering. The Punt e Mes and Frangelico salute Italy, Slow Food's home base.
- Ice
- 3/4 ounce Sloe gin
- 3/4 ounce Punt e Mes (spicy sweet vermouth)
- 1/2 ounce Frangelico
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- Dash of Fee Brothers whiskey barrel–aged bitters or Angostura bitters
- 1 orange twist, for garnish
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the twist and shake well. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe and garnish with the orange twist.
